Worship
We, as image bearers of Christ, are created to worship. At McQuiston we are committed to worshipping the Triune God of the Bible; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
One of the ways we worship God is to meet together in fellowship each Sunday to engage in the Word of God as it is preached, to participate in prayer and praise, to bring our offerings to God, and to encourage one another in our faith.
Each Sunday we have two opportunities to meet with God and one another in this way.
Our morning service at 11am is our main gathering and is a multi-generational event, welcoming young and old. As such our praise is a blend of contemporary songs and classic hymns. At McQuiston we are passionate about bringing our praise to God in this way and many members of the congregation are involved in leading us in different styles of praise through our praise group, our worship band, as well as through the piano and the organ.
We aim to provide a warm place of welcome for visitors and members alike and are often found encouraging and sharing with one another over tea and coffee before and after many of our services. Children and families are also well catered for. Creche facilities are available during the service, while McQuiston Kids offers a safe environment for Primary School aged children to grow in their faith while McQuiston Youth helps those in Years 8-10 to explore faith in an age-appropriate way. The church is also equipped with a link area which is a homely space, often made use of during the service by parents of young babies in particular.
The evening service at 7.00pm is often more low key, and allows for a more in depth time of teaching. We don't meet during July and August but throughout the rest of the year this is a key time each week for us to go deeper into God's Word and deeper into relationship with each other. Our evening service takes place in our halls, so if you come along you can get in through the side entrance on Moneyrea Street.
