If you are a new member of McQuiston Church, or are just having a look, we want to say that you are very welcome!
Come and see for yourself!
One of the best ways to find out more about who we are and what we do, is to come and see for yourself. We meet each Sunday morning at 10.30am for Coffee and Cake before Church at 11am! This is a great time to meet new people! What happens when I come in the door?
When you arrive at McQuiston, you will be greeted at the front door by some of our smiling church members! Come in and grab a cup of coffee and some buns! Feel free to sit wherever you like. Church members generally sit in similar areas of the church each week, but we do not have specific seats. What happens during Church? We sing using a combination of contemporary and traditional songs with various instruments to accompany. There is no dress code and you will not be expected to give money or join in the singing if you don't want to. During worship, there is a time of prayer and singing to God, as well as teaching from the Bible. Someone from the Ministry Team will preach a sermon, talking to the church family about some aspect of the Bible, encouraging us to apply what God says to our everyday ordinary lives. What about my Kids? A creche is available for pre-school children before the service. Children of primary school age leave after about 20 minutes of the Sunday morning service to go to MnM Kidz where they will hear Bible stories, and will be given the freedom to express themselves, respond to the story, and have fun together! The evening services doesn't have a creche facility available. All of these Kids Ministries at McQuiston are carried out by Volunteers that have been Police Checked, to reassure you. What About Sunday Nights? We meet in the hall at the side of McQuisiton, at the Moneyreagh Street Entrance. Evening services are quite informal and have a stronger teaching element. We start at 7pm on alternate Sundays.. |
