McQuiston Seniors
The McQuiston Seniors Group has been in existence for many years now and meets every Tuesday from 1.45pm to 3.30pm. If you are over 60 please do come along and join us.
There are on average 40 people who come each week. We enjoy chatting, so spend a good lot of time doing that, brousing our bring and buy stall and having tea. Every week we have lots of home made goodies so are really spoilt by Eileen and her team. We then have a very short opening and some announcements to keep us up to date with people who are ill etc and details of our outings. Each week we have a speaker of some sort, that could on the subject of Your Safety in the Home, Assisi Dogs Home, Crafts for older people, Exercises etc.etc. If you enjoy any of the above things then you will love the Senior Members as it is such a friendly bunch of people who all care very much about each other. Our aim is to have all the elderly in the church and the community to come to us on Tuesday so that we can witness for Jesus and show his love to all. If you know of anyone who you think would like to come along? then let us know as we can arrange to have them picked up and delivered home. Our leaders are Leta and Bill Halliday and helping them is Eileen Kelso, Hilary Hawthorne, Mildred Kerr, Lina Graham and Alison Coyle. We are also supported by volunteer drivers and would thank them for all they do for us. If you would like further assistance please contact here ([email protected]). |
