This Week Please Pray For –
SUNDAY: Pray for our services today. This morning we continue to study Mark’s gospel considering today Jesus early ministry in Capernaum and thinking especially of his authority in all things. Tonight we are hosting the Presbytery Service which will focus on mission in the continent of Europe. Some of those taking part are listed in the order of service on the reverse of the Bulletin. Please pray for them this afternoon.
As you begin each day READ : Matthew 9:35-38, and pray as follows….
Matthew 9:35-38 (NIV)The Workers Are Few
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvestis plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
MONDAY: Give thanks that the gospel is indeed good news for all people regardless of their social standing, colour, nationality, ability , orientation, or gender. Pray that in this and every nation it might be proclaimed with clarity.
TUESDAY : Comfort in our circumstances can lead us to become indifferent to the physical and spiritual plight of others. Pray that God will give us a heart of compassion that we might be faithful in working for Jesus and praying for the unreached at home and overseas.
WEDNESDAY: Pray that those who are lost and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd will encounter Jesus the Good Shepherd in a new way. That old prejudices against the gospel and misunderstandings would be swept away and that the Holy Spirit will give understanding and spiritual insight to many.
THURSDAY : Ask for faith to see that the harvest is plentiful around the world, and that even in our city and in this part of it we would begin to see the people who are unreached and their needs through the eyes of Jesus.
FRIDAY : Pray that God the Father will send more workers into the harvest field of the world. Consider our role in this church family, how we can help and what part we are called to play as workers even in the streets around us and where we live and work.
SATURDAY: Pray for those in need within the church family. Pray about our services tomorrow and for David and Robert as they prepare.
Continue to pray for those who are labourers in working within the church and outwardly to the community.
Pray also for our friends in Ravenhill and Mountpottinger.

Q10. How did God create man?
Ans: God created man, male and female, in His own image and in knowledge, righteousness, and holiness, to rule over the other creatures.
Think about the dignity bestowed on human kind having been created in God’s image and the special place as well as responsibility this gives humanity. Pray about issues concerning the beginning and end of life that are currently contentious.
